DETAILED EXPERIENCE GUIDE

Know exactly what you are booking.

Use the Grand Feast rate for a deeper five-dish session built around complex spice pastes, slow-cooked dishes, lawar, sambal and technique rather than a larger dish count.

How the experience flows

Select up to five dishes that justify deeper technique: complex spice pastes, Betutu, lawar, sambal, banana-leaf work or Base Genep grilling.

How menu selection works

This experience keeps the standard Wayan’s Paon menu freedom: choose up to five confirmed dishes. Slow-cooked, specialty or advance-request items can be selected first and are confirmed in the WhatsApp reply.

Who this experience suits

Best for confident home cooks and food-focused travelers who want more technique and explanation rather than more dish count.

What makes this format different

Advanced still respects the five-dish cap. The class becomes deeper, not unrealistically longer through 10–12 simultaneous recipes.

Timing & transport

The listed timing is extended / by arrangement. Ubud pickup and return are free. Outside Ubud is also free for bookings of 5+ guests; groups of 1–4 outside Ubud receive a location-based transport quote before confirmation.

Meal & confirmation

The meal is part of the experience. Send the package, date, guest count, pickup area, dietary needs and any dish selections in one request; final availability and special preparation are confirmed in WhatsApp before the booking is treated as final.

BEFORE YOU BOOK

Advanced means deeper technique—not a bigger recipe count.

Use these details to compare the experience by format, food and logistics—not only by its name.

01

Choose technique deliberately

Use the five dish slots for preparations that justify more explanation: Base Genep, slow-cooked Betutu, Lawar, banana-leaf cooking, sambal work or Base Genep grilling.

02

Who it suits

This class is aimed at confident home cooks and food-focused travelers who want to understand sequence, spice balance, preparation and how techniques connect across several dishes.

03

What may start before arrival

Slow cooking, specialty meats and other long-prep items can require advance work. Guests still participate in the important teaching stages rather than waiting through every long cooking period.

04

Keep the menu coherent

A technically ambitious menu is better when the dishes complement one another. The builder remains capped at five so the session can stay genuinely hands-on.
